| The summer of 1997 was a time of changes with the transition from Intercity to Great Western Trains and Virgin Cross Country. There were rail tours and loco hauled mixed in with Class 37s on engineers and other workings. It was a time when Class 33s still appeared down here on specials. Nostalgia always suggests that the sun always shone during the summer, well these pictures prove it didnt! However the variety of traction makes up for it! |
