| With a good forecast (!) Bernard Bates and I set off for a sunday on the Swanage Railway for the 2009 Diesel Gala. As might be expected the Met Office forecast was variable in its accuracy, I mean I should have known better Full dull forecast for friday equated to full sun, so a forecast of sunshine rapidly become full weather.
After a bright start where we managed the Peak/Deltic/26 and 31 in sun dull cloud resulted until 1359, when someone put 10p in the cloud clearance meter and we were treated to a fairly sunny afternoon. Locos working during the gala were 31108/45060/55022/33111/33103/20107/26007. We managed a variety of locations so enjoy an excellent gala! |
