| On the 16th May Pathfinder Tours ran the Cornish Parker railtour from Crewe to Parkandillack. In charge of the tour were ST Blazey favourite 37670 and 37401.
Rich Sulzmann, Callum Hayes and I headed off in search of Tractor phots and enjoyed a day that brought despair, delight and frustration as the weather decided to be awkward! We headed to Tiverton Parkway for the first shot, and encountered cloudy iff conditions. We headed for Totnes and as the train didnt stop at Dawlish Warren pulled into Totnes station approaches as the 37s stormed through in full dun. The next stop was Wearde Quay as a magic moment of sun, and tractor thrash came together for a superb shot. Off to Burngullow for the Parkandillack branch, we managed shots at slip bridge and Parkandillack before returning to Burngullow, a couple of which we managed to get in sun. After heavy rain we ventured out to Restormel and spent most of the time in sun before getting stuffed by the after rain clouds. A FFCM up to Cockle Steps brought a shot which was sunny but not full sun! A day of frustration and delight! Enjoy |
