| Summer 2009 started with what seemed like good weather. Then we arrived in July and did that prove the Met Office wrong!
Despite many trips out a number of sunny shots of the Nationalised East Coast set was set firmly at zero. The weekend of the 15/16 August promised a Rail Blue Charter to Paignton with 2 DRS 47s. The sun decided to tease those of us who ventured out, appearing after the train had passed and of course while nothing was running. But some how the sun appeared at Aller for the return. On the Sunday 6024 was due to return to the main line and work the Torbay Express, so imagine the surprise when Ones Skip 67005 had a trip to the seaside. A last minute decision saw a trip to Waterside for the return and some how the sun stayed out. Enjoy! |
